Helen Leake
Helen is one of Australia's most experienced producers. Her latest feature WOLF CREEK 2 had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and was No#1 at the Australian box office on its release in Australia by Roadshow Films on February 20, 2014.
SWERVE (2012) sold world-wide, including North America, where it was audience favourite at the Hamptons Film Festival in New York State. Other feature film credits include BLACK AND WHITE starring Robert Carlyle and HEAVEN'S BURNING with Russell Crowe; both were festival hits at over 30 international film festivals, including Toronto, London, Karlovy Vary and Pusan.
Key projects in development are a feature on the Australian WW1 General Sir John Monash and his crucial role in ending the war, and the comedic period romp, COCKAHOOP.
Helen also contributes her time and skills to industry organisations. She headed the South Australian Film Corporation as its Chief Executive Officer (2004-07), and was Chair of the Board of the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) (2007-2013).
Helen served as a Commissioner (1996-04) for the Australian Film Commission (now part of Screen Australia) and a Board member (2004-2007) of AUSFILM.
